题    目：Graduate and Visiting Scholar Programs in Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at UTRGV

摘    要： In this talk, we will introduce three University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) graduate education programs, two masters and one doctoral, and visiting scholar program. One master program is in Mathematics (MATH) with 4 concentration areas, meanwhile the other one is in Statistics, called Master Program in Applied Statistics and Data Sciences (ASDS). Both master programs have an option for online completion. The doctoral program is not in traditional mathematics but called PhD program in Mathematics and Statistics with Interdisciplinary Applications (MSIA) including four areas for students to complete the PhD dissertation: 1) Computational Math with Computer/Electrical Engineering, 2) Mathematical Biology and Nonlinear Mechanics, 3) Statistics with Data Analytics with Medical Applications, and 4) Mathematical Physics. We will talk about the details of the program admission and degree plan as well as GTA/GRA assistantships. Regarding the visiting scholar program, UTRGV accepts application any time upon the scholar’s agreement with the host professor.

简    介：李淑霞女士本科毕业于内蒙民族师院化学系，后就读于辽宁大学工商管理硕士，于2009年在美国UTPA获取数学研究生学位，现任美国德克萨斯大学数学学院高级职称并协助职工工作，发表过论文20余篇，曾多次在国际国内学术会议做报告。
